Obrecht Missa

Jakob Obrecht has rightfully assumed his place as one of the giants of Renaissance composition. This a cappella Mass is about 30 minutes long and is representative of Obrecht’s mature style, now recognized is a pioneering effort formerly attributed to Josquin. Under Rene Clemencic’s direction, this performance is an extremely rare opportunity top hear this Renaissance master in the period- correct ambiance of the Imperial Court Chapel of Vienna.
